When you send a message (or attach a document), it is transmitted over an encrypted connection to our server, which forwards it to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a response. Your conversation history for the current chat is sent with each message so the assistant has context — this is held in your browser's memory, not in a database of ours. We do not log, store, or review the content of your conversations.
Responses are generated by Anthropic's Claude models under Anthropic's commercial API terms. Anthropic does not train its models on API conversation content by default, and applies its own data retention and safety policies. See Anthropic's commercial terms and privacy policy.
Standard technical data needed to run the service: our hosting provider (Vercel) processes IP addresses and request metadata to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, and we may see aggregate, content-free usage counts (e.g. number of requests). We use no advertising trackers and no analytics that read your conversations.
If you create an account, we store the minimum needed to run it: your email address, when the account was created, your trial dates, your subscription status, and a customer reference from our payment provider. This lives in a database hosted in the EU (Dublin). Sign-in emails are sent through Resend (EU region). Signing in sets one essential cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 90 days — we use no tracking or advertising cookies.
Payments are handled entirely by Stripe: your card details go directly to Stripe and are never seen or stored by us. Your conversations are never linked to your billing records — Stripe knows you subscribe; it never knows what you talk about.
Conversations about workplace mistreatment often contain sensitive personal data — about your health, your employer, and named individuals. Because nothing is stored on our side, the copy that matters is yours: use the Export button and keep your files on a personal device, never a work device or work account. Avoid using In My Corner on employer-owned equipment or networks — your employer may monitor them.
You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection over personal data we hold. Because we do not store your conversations, what we hold about you is your account record (email, trial and subscription status) — email admin@cultureclarity.uk and we will show you or delete it, usually within a few days. You may also complain to your supervisory authority (in the UK, the ICO).
In My Corner is intended for people of working age and is not directed at children under 16.
If this policy changes materially, we will say so plainly on this page with a new date.
